(All photos featured were taken by myself or another member of “The Single One In The Group”)

As I sit in the Cancun Aeropuerto (peep the Spanish dialect lol) …I can’t help but to still be on a “natural high” from the success of our very first group trip!

“The Single One In The Group” is no longer a travel virgin and I couldn’t be more elated to say that. Cancun, Mexico was the destination and I can honestly say it was amazing!

The purpose of this post is to not only share the experience, but to also possibly convince you to be a part of the next trip I plan for the group!

We stayed at the Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribé All Inclusive Resort.

For the entire stay we had not a care in the world! The property features 4 restaurants, a snack bar that serves burgers, hotdogs and nachos, a pizza bar and a cafe that serves sandwiches, pastries, coffee and a variety of ice cream and toppings.

There are 2 main pools, one of which has a swim up bar. There is also a couple of hot tubs. The beach was breathtaking! We stayed in an Ocean View room and it was amazing waking up to the sound of the waves every morning.

And that’s just to name a few!

As a group we enjoyed local shopping, sightseeing and a night of partying at Senòr Frogs!

The best part of the trip for most of us was the boating excursion to Isla Mujeres. We took the “Samba Tour” which included a beautiful boat ride to the island with unlimited drinks. .. and trust me, they never stopped flowing! At times I couldn’t keep up lol.

We stopped at another island (I can’t remember it’s name) where we were able to relax, take pictures with a small shark and take advantage of an included lunch buffet.

Once we arrived at Isla Mujeres, we were able to shop at the many markets which were arguably a “tourist’s dream”! They had everything.

Most places had wifi so we were able to avoid or limit altogether the need for service from our cellular provider. My phone was on airplane mode the entire time and I was able to get on Facebook & Instagram to periodically upload pics. I was also able to call and video chat through the Tango app.

So I didn’t feel completely shut off from the world and I had access to calling and the Internet when it was needed.

I can also say that I’ve consumed more tequila this week than I think I have in an entire year lol. The drinks were constantly flowing.

The staff at the Grand Park Royal provided EXCEPTIONAL service! Before I could ask for anything they were there to accommodate us.

As I waited in line to check in I was greeted with a welcoming smile and a Piná Colada and even as we lounged on the beach a waitress would come out to take our orders.

I truly felt like royalty!

So with all of that being said I can’t wait to come back. I won’t hesitate to stay at the exact same resort and honestly I think all-inclusive is the only way to go!
