I am so excited about this trip that I can hardly contain myself! And justifiably so… since my travel agent has helped me find an incredible deal for us at that beautiful 5 star resort pictured above!
(S/O to you Megan you are undoubtedly THE BEST!!)

This post is not only to give you guys the details and specifics of the trip, but to also share the purpose of the “Events & Vacations” aspect of the blog and why I felt that it would be a great addition!

What resort will we be staying at?

* Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe is a 4-star beachfront all-inclusive luxury resort located 22 Km (13 miles) from Cancun International Airport, and only five minutes from the Cancun Convention Center and the main shopping areas. The hotel is also within walking distance of the main entertainment areas and attractions. Cancun Caribe is within walking distance of the heart of the Cancun hotel zone, giving you easy access to local restaurants and entertainment. Also within walking distance of this luxury beachside hotel are golf courses and shopping malls, where you can enjoy something more active when you`re not relaxing by the pool or on the beach.*

What are the dates of travel?
Wednesday March 11th to Sunday March 15, 2015

What is the cost?
Currently the package only includes the hotel stay. The price is $615 per person, per room based on Double Occupancy.

Is there a deposit required?
Yes. Each person is required to pay a deposit of $150 to create their room reservation. You will be required to fill out a Roommate Form and a Payment Form to submit along with your deposit payment.

What is the Roommate Form and Payment Form for?
The Roommate Form lists basic information for both individuals that will be occupying each room. It is best to confirm your roommate choice before submitting this form, as the hotel may charge a fee for name change requests.
The Payment Form gathers payment details for travelers and allows the travel agency to apply your payments to your reservation balance. It also allows you to choose how you would like to pay (Debit, Credit ect.) as well as the amount, the purpose of payment (Deposit, Payment Plan, General Payment) and frequency (if a specific payment schedule was chosen.)

How do we secure airfare?
Once you make your deposit and secure your room reservation you have two options for obtaining your flight. You can choose to monitor flight deals independently and purchase your airfare separately OR our travel agent (Megan) can find you the cheapest available flight at that time and add it into your package. There will most likely be an additional deposit required for the latter option.

*FYI: Southwest Airlines now flies to Cancun, Mexico from various states within the US. Current flight prices as of 10/11/14 from Ny Laguardia Airport are $359 Round Trip.*

What is the Final Payment Deadline? Payment Schedule?
The Final Payment must be made at least 65 days before departure. That date is: January 5, 2015.
Megan said that she can extend the deadline for 1 additional week which is January 12, 2015. Aside from the final payment deadline, there are no other required payment schedules. You pay what you can, when you can. As long as it’s paid in full by the deadline you’re good to go!

I mentioned to her about the holiday season being so close and that I didn’t want to stress anyone out financially and she said that she could customize payment plans for those who preferred structured payments so that people could have everything paid off in time… stress free!

Will I need a passport?
Yes you will. Also, the name on your passport and your room reservation must match. No exceptions.

Now aside from all of those boring necessary specifics, don’t forget that this resort is ALL INCLUSIVE. That means that practically everything is included such as:

Pool Area with Balinese Sun Bed for all Premier Room Guests.
Unlimited Meals and Snacks.
Low Calorie and Vegetarian Meals.
Unlimited Domestic and Premium International Drinks.
In Room Mini-bar stocked daily with Beer, Soft Drinks and Water.

Everyone is invited, even if you aren’t single. This is not a “Singles Trip”, but more so an opportunity for cool, active, professional people to come together and enjoy life!

If you do meet your soul mate on this trip I’ll be thrilled for you and I better be invited to the wedding lol… BUT if you don’t and you just came to vacation with an energetic group of dope people. .. regardless of relationship affiliation, that’s okay too!

The purpose of these trips aren’t to come across as desperate, hook up trips.. but to allow people to fill their lives with traveling and memories that will have you so consumed with joy and contentment… that you’ll be too busy having fun to even think about the fact that you’re single. And you know what they say… that’s usually when you find the one! 😉

The point is to have a life so full that you become the best version of yourself that you can be.
